Yes, I would braze it. Use a Silver base (BAg) or Copper Zinc base (RBCuZn)
filler rod. Your brazing temperature range should be between 1300-2200 deg. F.
A brazed joint is stronger because of the alloys used. In some instances, it
is as strong as a welded joint. Brazing is used where mechanical strength and
leakproof joints are desired. Brazing and braze welding are superior to welding
in some applications, since they do not affect the heat treatment of the
original metal as much as welding. Brazing and braze welding do not warp the
original metals like welding does, and makes it possible to join dissimilar metals.
