[V8] FW: is it possible to weld cast iron with steel (audi content ins ide)

... had a friend of mine do this for me a few weeks back ... the result
wasn't particularly pretty, but it did work!  He had a pretty basic MIG
setup ... 

It seems to me there should be several ways to skin this cat ... epoxy
like JB Weld comes to mind, assuming the part was cleaned up well ...
