It's a bit weird, as I recall, how it is wired.  But I think it might 
actually be possible for you to do what you want.  As I recall, it 
actually switches power to the switch when the low beams are on.

I changed mine to allow use with parking lights as well (by using the 
high beam and parking light signals as triggers...)

Let me look in Mr. B's picture book to see if I can actually help you 
here...

Yeah, that's right. G85N is a brown/red ground wire, and G86N is grey, 
from the headlight switch.  X relay power in comes from inside the 
fusebox, then after the relay, out through fuse #1 to F55, a grey/green 
wire to the foglight switch(es).

So, if you "jump" the two perpendicular slots, you'll have fogs any time 
the ignition is on.
