my '87 5000 csq avat has springs from a V8. The setup includes Boge Turbo
Gas shocks (this was done by the previous owner, so I can't take credit for
it, and maybe the previous owner wasn't telling the truth, but I think he
can be trusted).
It's a pretty firm ride that isn't so great around town on bumpy roads, but
it feels great at 80mph. I wish I could provide more details, but it
certainly didn't lift the car an extra 6" inches. The ride is a LOT
different from my 100 q sedan for sure. I don't think I'd recommend it for a
daily driver that is used for commuting. For what I do (high speed highway
driving over snowy passes with a ton of skis on board) it's pretty nice.
