I didn't the first time, but it was easier when I later did. The front
bumber cover is really easy to get off on a 4k. When I was fitting my
intercooler I must have taken if on and off a dozen times to check fits.

Remove the grill molding above and below the headlight. The top one is
held in by a clip to the inboard side. The bottom on by one or two
screws on the outboard side. The top one swings outboard and the bottom
one slides straight outboard. The top two screws are visible while
standing there. The bottom two screws can be got at with a long screw
driver through the area that you just removed the lower molding from.
It has been a little while since I removed my DOT lights so I don't
remember if I had to separate the turn signals. I do remember having to
wiggle things around quite a bit to get them out. You might put some
masking tape on that brushed metal trip ring so you reduce the risk of
scratching it when you do get it out.

I have gotten pretty good at getting my euros out since with the over
full engine compartment I have to pull the assemblies to change the
bulbs (or work on my intake piping).
