misc performance/rally parts for an '87 4kq?

Hi listers,

I had posted a couple weeks ago regarding my search for a 4kq for weekend winter TSDs/rally x's.  Well, I may have found the perfect car!   A no-accident '87 with thorough list of maintenance.  It's stock except for minor brake and suspension upgrades.  It drove very tight, but is awefully slow!  

Can anyone tell me what I can do to make this car accellerate atleast a little bit faster?  I'm wondering if a cam is worth the money, and which one you recommend. If I go through with the purchase, I will be looking for used and/or new parts for the above mentioned rally usage.  

Does anyone have for sale or recommend where I could buy items such as an undercarriage skid plate, strut tower bar, rally computer, aftermarket ss free-flow cat back exhaust, shrick camshaft, etc?  My main objective is to tighten the car up as much as possible and make it accelerate atleast a little bit faster.  Thanks in advance for your assistance!
