5000TQ trany noise under lock

That's what I believe is happening.  You have 16-inch tires and you
say you have used both the standard spare from a V8 and then one from
your car, a 1987 5ktq.  You might have lucked out with one or the
other but apparently not.

When I asked about the tire size I was looking for 206/60-15 or
205/55-16.  15-inch or 16-inch is not anywhere near enough
information.

If you're using the space-saver spares, then please provide that
tire's size in the above format as well.  Just take a look at the
sidewall.

If you continue to drive the vehicle making this noice, you're center
diff's life will be a short one.  Even with the diff unlock, you're
causing the diff to work harder than it should and this can also
reduce its life.
