You have some options, as you said. The 5000 headlights are not
as wide. But you can fit a pair with the 5000 grille. You might
be better off sourcing a 200 set from someone who updated their
200 to E-code (Euro) headlights. Or spring for the E-code lights
yourself. Failing that, try one of the used Audi parts vendors
(chris at force5auto.com is one). Or be really frugal and try to
dry out the wet light. Remove the headlight from the car, remove
the bulb, then use a hair drier to blow warm air into the assembly.
You might consider drilling a small (1/16" or less) hole in the
bottom to let vapor escape. That same hole may let more water
into the headlight, though.
