need help with cooling system, and OH MY GOD

All of my fluids, oils, coolant, brakes, etc go into the same tub. The tub
gets dumped into the "oil recycle" bin at my local parts store. Based on the
smell from the bin, I am not the only one doing it ether :) All
Schucks/Checkers parts stores have free oil recycling, many NAPAs do too...
That's what I do...
Putting the stuff down the sewer is a BAD idea... Septic problems aside,
coolant is a chemical that will be sent to a plant designed to filter
biological contamination. I don't know if their filters can pick out
anti-freeze. One spoon of anti-freeze can kill a mammal the size of a large
dog. I would hate for that stuff to end up in a lake or ocean...

Does it seem weasier (is that a word?) at high RPM? If so you are
likely off a tooth as advancing or retarding the cam just moves the
power band (as I am sure you know). Another possiblity is that your cam
was off before and now it is correct.

Sorry no experience on that issue. Luckily it is fairly easy to get
at, you just have to dump all that coolant first.
BTW how do people here in the states get rid of their coolant? I can't
seem to get anyone to take mine and I am staring to get quite a
collection. I have been told before that small amounts can be put into
the sewer, but I have a septic system and a well so it is not going down
the drain. Twice a year we have a hazardous waste disposal day, but I
always seem to miss it. Is that my only appropriate option?
