complete autocheck disable?

I knew I had seen something about this before, but upon searching the
archives I found the instructions for disabling the Autocheck only for
the front brake pad issue (once I worked around the eurolight results).
The Autocheck in my '90 200 just generally annoys me, and that's only
when it decides to work. It finally quit telling me the front pads were
low (they're not) and then began telling me I have no oil
pressure........but the best is when it just gets a bunch of vertical
lines across the screen and starts SCREAMING (ie a constant screech)
until I shut the car off and restart.
Honestly I have no desire to retain the system, I've driven cars all my
life without such "conveniences," and it's all info which can be gleaned
for periodic inspections or regular glances at gauges.
So, with that, does anyone have any recommendations for simply
disabling the Autocheck ENTIRELY, both visual and auditory?
