I ended up just cutting the stock crossmember off right below the 3-hole bumper post mounts. I need to make or source a special hose to go from the turbo outlet to the intercooler inlet pipe, but that shoudln't be too hard.
SJM has a great write up for the procedure too, thanks Tony Lum - HYPERLINK "http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/turbo.html#intercoo"http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/turbo.html#intercoo

I also have some crossmember questions for the list too. I've been wanting to retrofit a type 43 turbo bumper and front spoiler onto '86 5kcstq. I'd also like to upgrade to a 20v IC at some point, but I don't know what sort of crossmember to use since the early 200T models weren't intercooled IIRC.
TIA
