Nick, Ameer,

The foam (not quite "sponge") on the intake system was 
essentially a sound deadener for the intake of the car. 
Makes the turbo spool-up quite a bit quieter (up to you
whether or not this is a good thing) so the car doesn't 
quite sound like a giant dentist drill. I do know 200's have
it, don't know if 5K's do. After my experience driving a
Saab 900 Turbo, which has no dampener, I'd say I 
prefer it. Everytime I spooled the turbo, I kept thinking
the cops were on my butt. Made you sort of fear getting
on the throttle.
