Eibach Springs?? Help!

Jonathan,
Last night I discovered (thanks to an auction on German ebay) that the
springs for my car are for normally aspirated German 80/90q Typ 85.
Given that the German 80/90q weighs only 2600lbs... this might have
something to do with it.... the kit numbers are different and I have a
feeling the front springs would be different for the TQC...
Your springs might be for a Euro 4 cylinder version...
Cheers

Subject: RE: Eibach Springs?? Help!
Martin, I'm afraid I can't help much, but I do have a similar situation. I
just finished installing H&R's on my CGT tonight. I haven't examined it in
full light yet but I must admit it looks a lot like your UrQ--normal/high in
the rear, and very low in the front.
The H&R's I had were NOS (from Dec '01), and their part numbers are
different now so my research has been spotty (called H&R, not much help).
But I'm wondering if your issue and mine might actually intersect? Several
of the old H&R p/n's cover several models but their proper application can
depend upon the part number in combination with a blue or yellow mark on the
springs (mine had neither, just a p/n). If Eibach did/does the same thing,
i.e. covering multiple models with very similar springs, I'm inclined to ask
aloud--is it actually easy to put the wrong (but close) springs in a Type 81
or 85?
