Dorf commercials

It appears that Dorf agrees with VAG marketing ideas.
Am I the only that thinks this evenings commercial (on abc's MNF) for
the "Freestyle" appears to be their version of the Allroad, and an
earlier commercial for the "500" looks like a knock-off of a
Passatt/Phaeton.
Immitation and flattery and all that?

Speaking of immitation, there was a car rental (Sixt) commercial poster
at the Munich airport showing the latest Mercedes-benz C-class and
addressing the Japanese (carmakers I imagine) with words like: 'Here is
the next one for you to copy'
