Lifter tick

Extremely common. You need to replace the lifters. Look for sales at
The Parts Connection. Not too bad a job. Search the archives at
audifans.com and you'll find more info than you know what to do with on
the subject of lifter noise.
You can try snake oils, etc etc but in the end you gotta get dirty

I'm getting a good amount of lifter tick when I start the car cold, and
even randomly when it's warm. I'm using a Mann filter with 4.5 quarts
of dino
10W-30, changed about a week ago after ~3K miles. The car doesn't burn
any oil.
I thought these cars had hydraulic lifters? Could one be stuck or
sticking? If so, how do I unstick it? Any BTDTs would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Matt
