Anyone done a tranny swap from 5kq to a 4kq?

Driving my 5k 5spd donor car around the past few days, I have grown to
appreciate it's gearing ratios very much. The 4kq is the complete opposite,
short rev happy gears which will seem much shorter once I double the HP
output of the motor. I am faced with a dilemma... There has got to be some
way to raise the gear ratios for the 4kq. A tranny from another car, or some
gear pulling, maybe changing diffs... I don't know. I guess I am looking for
direction on how to peruse that goal.
The gear ratios on my 5k donor car are matched to the stock engine output
very well - I am impressed. They are be just right for cursing with the
weight and power of a 5k. I think that running those approximate ratios on a
lighter 4k, while raising the power of the turbo motor to the 250-300HP
range, will provide for a sporty kick with some respectable top speeds.
250-300HP, would in my opinion, be wasted with the 4k standard gear ratios.
With stock gears, the turbo wont even have time to spool full power when I
hit the redline.
I cant be the first to ask about this
