Chances are the filter doesn't have the anti-drainback valve and the galleries are emptying
back into the sump every time the oil pump stops - so there's no supply of oil under pressure
to the lifters for the first few minutes.
 
For some bizarre reason the right OEM filter is marked "turbo" even though it's the right one
for a number of non-turbo cars.
