Sweet! What's the avalibity like on the rear end from a ur-quattro?
Something that can be mail ordered? What kind of price range am I talking
about?

It's a straight trans swap, however you must use a rear end from a
ur-quattro as the final drive gear ratios are different from the 4kq to the
5000qt.
Changing diffs will mean a complete box teardown $$$$$$
