type 44 bomb confusion

I emailed last week about a possible bad bomb--review:

'87 5kcstq, no bomb light, no leaks. With a cold car, the first minute or 
two the brake pedal is hard and has little effect, similar to some pre-war 
truck brakes.  But after that brief time, brakes are fine and act normal.

I did the bomb "test" of pumping after engine off.  I pumped until the cow's 
come home, no hard pedal, which I think means that bomb is likely good?

Anyway, other things to check? It goes to the wrench next week anyway, but I 
like to have my audi list ammo at the ready.
