Driving down road as happy as a pig in mud, push clutch in, it rapidly falls to the floor with a thud. Pedal jsut seems to snap down & back up like it's not conencted to anything. Fortunately I was only a block from the house. Had to start in gear then drive in 1st only to get her home. Grab the flashlight to see what might be going on...and look at what I found (see pic). Seems that the metal rod that connects the clutch pedal to the little balck thingie is broken. WTF?! Why on earth would THAT fail? Clutch felt like it alwas had, stiff but not so still it would cause metal to break like that. So, anyway, obviously it needs to be repalced. So, anyone know what the part is called? Part number? I'd bet it's a friggen dealer only part and costs FAR more than what a little metal rod should cost. Also, anyone ever replaced one before? Big deal? Ugg...NOT how I wanted to start my 3-day weekend!
