Well after some recent headwork my cutch has given up the chost. To the best
of
my knowladge it very well may be the original and now at roughly 200,000 miles
, so I dont really blame it for going. The thing is though, that since I'm
goign
to
be replacing it I would like to go with something better. I contacted a few
places, and from what I can find Centerforce is the only company that makes
any
5cyl clutch upgrades, and they only have one for the AAN motor.

Anybody know of any MC-1 clutch upgrades? Or maybe even (worse case) any
upgrades for something with a compatable flywheel? I would hate to change the
flywheel now since I have already brought mine down to 17lbs and shooting for
15lbs.

Jim Green, you have any issues on the stock MC clutch yet? I suppose if I have
to I'll just resurface the flywheel and use a stock disc, and maybe see about
having the pressure plate rebuilt with stiffer springs.

When the clutch gave way I was doign some runs with my new Escort Passport
G-Timer (G-tech wana be), and it's pretty evident that I couldn't get the
clutch to grab off the line...how about a 13.4 @ 111.4mph!! I'm gunning for ya
Jim...just at the momnent though I'm out of bullets heh. Unfortunately the
horsepower function was being a little funky because of the cluth slipping at
high power (I had one hand on the boost knob to turn the boost down when it
started slipping; worked well, then once it gripped again I'd slowly increase
boost), but I did get one run to show 385hp to the wheels peak, with 352hp to
the wheels average. Thats on the stock header (which I ported slightly), and
stock intercooler, and at 2.2bar absolute pressure.
