Service reminders WAS: oil sludge recall for 1.8t's

Service reminder Info spelled out here at Ross-Tech.com who makes the lap top 
diagnostic Vag-Com.  I've only reset the 99 A6 which you change a value from 
1 to 0.

Like Dan said, you'd figure they'd match the service intervals, but I can see 
if I "run over" the 7500 miles service (for example) the reset of the counter 
only counts down the preset factory interval (from that current milage, 
because I reset that value to "0".

So to clarify, if the intervals are 7500 miles and I go to 10,000 then reset, 
the next one will remind me around 17,500.
