Ti,

The 6-speed DSG is available here on the New Beetle TDI. And for now, only 
on this car. Interesting combo.

Trivia fact : the 6-speed Tiptronic auto available on the New Beetle 
Cabrio 2.0 and 1.8T is NOT the DSG. It's the regular torque converted 
transmission.

At VW, there is also a 4-speed auto not Tiptronic, a 5-speed manual, a 
6-speed manual, a 5-speed Tiptronic, a 6-speed Tiptronic...

You're confusing DSG with Multitronic.  The former is a dual-clutch
6-speed box that is computer controlled (no clutch pedal), and is
currently only available (in the US) on the new TT 3.2 quattro with
Haldex.  I think European VW Golf R32s is also available with the DSG.
The latter is the chain-driven CVT and is currently available only
on the A4/A6 with FWD.
