Type 85 Instrument Cluster Illumination Bulbs

Bulbs and socket are two separate parts. Bulb is 857 919 040. Socket is 
481 919 005.
Looked for these last year. 
Nope, no known-to-me bulb manufacturer (GE, Sylvania, OSRAM, Polamp, 
Allied-Signal...) has some equivalent.
Bit the bullet : bulbs are 18$CAN each at dealer. Sockets are cheap.
Worth every penny IMO.

Type 85 Instrument Cluster Illumination Bulbs






Hi,

Can anyone tell me if these bulbs are available mail order somewhere,
or if there is an alternative?

Specifically, I need the bulb holders as my bulbs still function,
altho' the plastic base on one of them is cracked.  The bulbs seem
special with basically magnifying glass type lenses on the tips.  They
look specialized and expensive.
