Fitting "updated" Coupe GT window regulators

When installing the newer version window regulators into a Coupe GT,
where the cable is not a loop but there is instead the red hose that
it goes into back-and-forth, I think the main track bar need to be
either straightened more or less to get it to curve with the glass
correctly. Does that sound right?

Does anyone have any BTDT on fitting them? What's involved?

I have the passenger side regulator in the door and it works, but I
can tell the window is binding at certain places and the fix is not
intuitive to me. I guess I could take it out and hold it against the
curved glass to see how different the curves are and make them match?

I don't remember quite where I got the regulator, but I had to drill a
hole for the motor support bracket, and a hole in the window
base-thingy. This was supposed to be normal for the install. I could
have gotten the regulator from Blaufergnugen, or German Parts and
Restoration, or another similar outfit.

While I'm posting. How possible would it be to fit regulators from a
90 into a 4000? Are they totally different, or close enough to get
the job done if I'm willing to modify and fit things?

Thanks,

Ken
