They are not the same,

BUT the 11C is only a rewrite of the 11B code to clean of the patches in
its code;
THEREFORE, you can use them interchangeably between late 1985 and early
1989.

The manual and automatic transmissions are irrelevant as the changes are
done only in the wiring harnesses.
