Fusing the fan?

I just posted a question pertaining to this.  Althoug the Audi dealer supply
a fuse kit, I simply obtained some large spade lugs and a large fuse and
inserted in the brown wire that is the return to ground from the fan.

The post I just made will hopefully get more info on what is the appropriate
fuse to be using.  The 30Amp fuse I installed blew after a few months.
