Sounds like you have a broken starter/ignition switch, or maybe a broken
spade behind the lock cylinder. The switch is a plastic piece, which
might be cracked or have an internal flaw. It could also be the pin at
the opposite end of the lock cylinder which has sheared. BTDT with both
defects.
