Stt car MPG

IME, 

I've been a little ticked that I'm not getting better MPG with the
S4avt. Due to my commute, I've always managed to beat estimates with
other vehicles.  The syncro avgd me 28mpg+ on a few long freeway
trips, besting 30mpg a couple times in its earlier years (80k miles).
 Before Bambi sacrificed herself on the grill, she was down to 23mpg
(240k).  (Bring back the I5s...)

The S4tt got 20.0mpg with 0k miles.  And now avgs 20.0 mpg with 75k+.

If I drive 80mph for 35mins to work (typical) I avg 19.9mpg.  If I
drive through town I avg 20.1 mpg.  (Calculated, non indicated)

I suppose I can't complain about the 80mph/20mpg...;-).  

The syncro rarely topped 67mph, so that may play a factor. But, wth
is the deal with the V8's?

P.S.  Anyone driven the S6V8 and A64.2 back to back?
