type44 brake pad recommendations

What brake pad brand & compoud would be good for me? Car is a '87 5kcstq, 
driven daily in the traffic jungle that is L.A.  A lot of fast street 
driving, a lot of zoom-stop-zoom-stop etc., so the brakes get pretty hot 
pretty fast.  Of course low dust would be nice too, although that's not a 
huge priority. No track days or rallycrossing here, just mucho hot weather, 
stop n' go type stuff.

If it helps in the decision process, I have stock rotors in back, and Ate 
Powerdisks in front.

Last, opinions on stainless braided lines. I've that one should only use 
them if you plan on inspecting them regularly. Idea being that with rubber 
lines, you have slow leaks, whereas with stainless it's a big, instant 
catastrophe.  Flame suit on, that's just what the "wisdom" was on a orscheP 
list a few years back.
