Thank you guys, both on- and off-list. So it's a no-go for me since I haven't learned
welding (next on
my list). But I suppose it wouldn't require bodywork to switch transmissions (if I find a
quattro with a
slushbox and want to fit my 5-sp.). Actually, were any 1988-92 type 89 quattros fitted
with automatic
transmissions?
