4kq v8 conversion

  I tried to get a steel flywheel from the dealer too. 
  They said it can take months to get it . But it s not listed anymore and could not get it.

  Get into group buy on Motorgeek.com . They are been twice i guess, so now its harder to get in. Not enought people want one.

    I have a few contacts for the V8 swaps. Nate of course, and Jeff O'brien in CA. There are a lot more, though. 
     
    On the flywheel issue, I had my local dealer at the time try to order one ($404 wholesale to me), and he couldn't get it. Now, that was in OK, so it might be different where they actually sell Audi's :) They did originally tell me that they could get it. But, when I paid and the ordered it, it was a different story. 
     
    You might check with your local dealer and just see what they say.

    Tony's given some good advice, but I do question the statement about the 
    flywheel availability. I got a brand new unit not too long ago myself. If 
    they are unavailable here in the states you should be able to get them in 
    Europe ...
