The Audi V6 (non-turbo) is quite pathetic for it's displacement.

I would pitch for a GM Ecotec with the Saab head. Light weight, decent 
stock horsepower and a little tuning could easily put it over 200hp, add 
a turbo or supercharger and the sky is the limit.

The Ecotec should be easy to find considering how many cars they are 
used in, the Saab head is another story.
