4kq suspension raise

I just got done doing this exact mod, swapping 90Q coils into my 87 4kq.
Mated the springs to new Boge Turbo Gas dampers, which according to my
research use the same part numbers for both cars. End result is a fairly
uniform 1.25" increase in ride height at each corner. The springs came from
another lister who responded to a 'parts wanted' ad I posted in the
marketplace, and cost the princely sum of $60, shipped. I blasted and
powdercoated them before install.
I'd do it again, but the Audi is a utility car for me and doesn't really
have sporting intentions (until the snow flies ;) ). I'm currently still on
Hakk2's so it's hard to know exactly how the handling was affected.
Overall, with a custom alignment, I'm pleased with the balance. My
'factory' ATE brake pads suck though.
hth,
Robert
