Aha, that explains it then........ so the engine bay side could be the
same, but the ecu side will be different, looks like a cut and splice
job...

It's CIS-Motronic, in that it's still the good 'ol continuous injection
with the mechanical air meter plate and fuel distributor, but it has
fuel and ignition control all in one ECU. This is a distinction
from the other Motronic systems that use a pulsed injection system.
