covered the bases? (was: Computer crosses; Type 44 won't

What codes are being generated? A bad ECU will either give 1 1 1 1 or
nothing on a no start condition. In most other cases a code would be
generated.
I have heard that a MAC-14 could substitute for a MAC-11, but don't know
about the reverse. I don't think you will blow anything up trying.
Remember - you need to have all three of the signals present and in proper
order - the Hall sender, the RPM/Speed sender and TDC/Reference sender to
sync. up and have the ECU put out what the coil uses as a primary and also
the fuel pump relay get pulsed only after those signals are present.

Thank you, listers. She still won't go, but not for lack of trying. Here's a
quick list and if you have ideas, love to hear from you.
Unless we've missed something, next step is to replace the computer with one
from another MC-2 (dual knock sensor) Type 44.
- No start; no spark, but plenty of fuel. Was very wet under the hood;
wouldn't start; started after a few hours of drying and drove home, but
wouldn't start again save for once at the shop - rapped on the computer (it
was clean and dry in there) and it started once, but hasn't started since.
- Checked all fuses; all relays. Jumpered fuel pump relay - it's good.
- Reference sensor and speed sensor good; ignition coil and power to coil
good. Checked all resistance readings to coil; good.
- Also checked power and ground to power output stage and power to computer.
Good.
- But no signal from computer on pin #2;
Does all this point to an ecu transplant?
