89 80 fuel leak

Well I was at work yesterday and noticed my car was really hard to start
when it had been sitting for more than a couple of minutes, and noticed the
odor of gasoline present. I immediately thought of a leaky fuel injector,
so I drove home and pulled them all out (went quite easily compared to my
Coupe!) Anyway, they don't leak. So I energized the fuel pump and looked
under the car, and in the area of the fuel filter gas was dripping. I
jacked up the back of the car and investigated further. The cause of the
leak: The hose the connects the filter to the hard line is leaking. The
hose has multiple visible cracks if you bend it around your finger and is
therefore totally shot.
My question involves repair suggestions. Since it's the piece that
connects the fuel filter and the entire rubber section is bad I can't
splice in a hard line, and because the rubber line is connected to the
banjo fitting with a hard crimped splice, I can't just replace the entire
section. So what to do? I went to the junkyard up the street and got a
banjo fitting I could cut open to splice in line from an 85 4k, but the
banjo was one size larger and the hose was one size smaller!?!??!
