Some have been following the critter, some haven't. I don't post here
too much any more but figured some of you wouldn't mind an update :)
After a busy winter and lots of help and parts from Javad(034efi), Chris
Semple, and several others, the twin turbo'ed v8 came to life a couple
weeks ago, and has been running fantastically since.
The power, even with the extremely minimal tuning I've done, is
ridiculous. It's very smooth, and just pulls ans pulls and pulls. I'm
running ~10psi to get everything sorted, and it's only up from here 8).
Should be a hoot out at Lime Rock come June.
Some of the bits used in the build:
'91 3.6l 32v Audi V8
Aluminum flywheel
016 transmission
2x 034efi T3-60 turbos
034efi stage IIc ecu
ARP head studs
custom exhaust manifolds and associated plumbing
Ford 7.3l powerstroke intercooler
42# racetronix injectors
custom fuel rails
adjustable FPR
I still have to take some more pictures of the finished lump, don't
think I have any yet with the intake plumbing done, besides whats in the
video.
Anyway, here's some pics: http://www.motorgeek.com/short_url/8ikz
and a someones daylight video: http://www.motorgeek.com/short_url/gn7i
And the thread with all the conversion jibber jabber:
