Just a data point. The Zerex antifreeze I just put in my 90 (the only
one that actually said phosphate free)was almost completely clear with
just a slight amber/orange color to it.

I agree, someone's blowing smoke ......................
30+ years in the biz, and the ONLY "clear" antifreeze I've ever run
30+ across
is MB OE coolant, and it does NOT mix with other coolants. MB
specifically
warns you not to do so. It tends to form globules in the system, at
which
point it becomes VERY difficult to clean out. Better follow up on this
one.
