type 44 clutch problem

Have an 89 200 tq that I just swapped the motor into from an 86 5000 TQ.
Along with the motor, I moved the clutch over with the motor since all i had
to move was the clutch release lever and bearing sleeve. I did this because
the clutch in the 200 was of unknown age and VERY worn, while the one in the
86 tq has only about 10k miles on it.
So amid various issues and difficulties installing this sucker, its finally
in the car and running. However, the clutch is staying about halfway from
the floor and when i pull it up with my foot, it sucks right back to that
halfway position. Whats worse, is that its not disengaging the clutch at
all.
I know there were supposed issues with the clutch master according to the
previous owner. He told me this when I got the car last year. I have one in
the trunk (new) just havent gotten around to replacing it.
I also removed the steering rack from this car because the boot was torn and
it was leaking. I put another rack in and cleaned up all of my hydralic
hoses and fully drained most of the system other than the accumulator. I am
wondering if I have bleed the master or slave????
I haven't had much experience with clutch issues before so i dont have much
to fall back on for ideas, so I figured I would ask for the lists wisdom.
Thanks in advance :)
Rob
