I saw something similar a while ago in Brazil, I thought it was a tricked
out VW Saveiro at the time. Pics of some Saveiros:

After seeing the links in the post, it could have been a real Audi I saw.
FWIW, the VW Saveiro is the second most popular car in South America (VW
Gol #1) , and has a huge market in Africa too. They are very practical,
excellent mileage, excellent handling, unbelievably durable and can take
some serious abuse, BTDT. If this Audi goes to market they'll probably
sell very well, like the Saveiro, you can have your cake and eat it too,
an economical well mannered daily driver and sturdy pickemup truck when
needed.
