Ah... assuming the fan does not run AT ALL, and this is a 1989+ type
44, it COULD be the linkage.
It is on the side of the driver's side suspension tower, back from
the coolant reservoir. It is a box (usually with the flap broken
off) with a thin flat piece of metal connected across two screw
terminals.
You should get zero ohms across the terminals with a meter.
Sometimes by spraying it with a bit of water or prodding it gently
with a screwdriver the fan springs to life (if, say, the ignition is
on and climate control is set to a mode with A/C) if the crack is
barely visible. Usually the crack is easily seen by close
inspection. The linkages cost barely a buck or two at the dealer- if
it turns out you need a new one, buy 2.
I do not recall if the fuse is ground-side or not. For best safety,
disconnect the battery before "operating". Also, NEVER replace the
linkage with a piece of regular wire/metal stock. If the fan seizes
or there is a short anywhere and the fuse has been 'bypassed', you
will at the very least have an electrical harness fire, possibly worse.
