90q20v won't start

I'm in the office... trying to remember.  The 90 has the VAG setup of
"pre-pump" in the tank, with the filter and pump under the passenger's
side, rear of the car (near the rear "axle" area?  If so, you could
have a good in-tank pump and bad main fuel pump.  Fairly easy to test,
just make the jumper connections away from the pump itself (so no
sparks near the pump/filter).
