wheel bearings

I'm struggling with the same issue on my 87 4kq. When the hub was
pressed off, the bearing cages were toast. All I have is a very
rusty bore and the outer races to remove. they are REALLY in
there. thought about sanding and cleaning the rust to see if that
helps, but may have to get a small diamond wheel cutter in there to
cut a slice out of the races to relieve the tension and then maybe
the races will go out. I then planned to get a large cylinder(brake)
hone and clean/polish the bore in hopes that the install will go
better than the removal. And plenty of anti-sieze will coat that
bore before the pressing of the new bearing goes in!! I had hell
just getting the inner and outer circlips out!!

To make a long story short, I'd be curious as to how others have done
this without disassembling the whole front suspension.

thanks

Max
