The US did have an 80/80Q for a while, it was just the 90 that started
at a lower trim level. A fully outfitted 80 was similar to a starting
90, and the 90's went up from there.
Sometime in the early 1990's, the 80 designation was dropped and they
all became 90s instead, at all trim levels. I am not entirely sure,
but I think it was after 1991, more like 1993-ish. So a 1991 US-spec
80Q would not be an impossible car.
