I disagree, most of the time a manual transmission is quicker, due to no
power loss in the transmission. The nature of an automatic means that you
are losing some power as you accelerate. The only "automatics" that are
generally quicker are the DSG-type, which are really manual transmissions
with an automated clutch..... That is, no fluid in them. Audi's DSG is
generally considered the best of the current examples.....

Semantics: I know that automatic transmissions with manual control are
called 'manumatics'.... What are they calling the manual transmissions
with automated clutchs, like Audi's DSG or Ferrari's F1? Sequential-manual
transmissions?
