In dire need of VW Vr6 torque convertor for 93 passat just needs to be useable

Hi,
   
  Haven't posted in a while but I could really use some help.  I am looking for a torque convertor for my wifes 93 vr6 Passat.  I wouldn't mind a cheap used one as long as it is clean and useable.  Or a good lead on a rebuilt or new one.  So far the cheapest I've found is $256..  The problem it has is that the snout where it seals in the trans has too deep of a groove in it and it won't seal anymore so it leaks.  I've already had the seal replaced by a mechanic that I trust and it still leaks...
