82 coupe shift link..Huw?

I'm assisting family with an '82 coupe.  The shifter no longer moves 
anything in the trans.  Looking at the linkage from underside there is as 
obivious piece out of place. I would say it's purpose is to provide a 
fixed for and aft location for the pivoting linkage. One end is attached 
to the trans and the other end is a ball and socket joint. The socket is 
gone. (Similar to what I have experienced on type 44s).
Is the socket available by itself or do we need the whole link?
Is there more pieces that should be replaced as well?
