In each of the cases you have listed, any of the part on the page will 
work.  They just offer different manufacturers for your shopping 
pleasure.  (In fact, for one of the manufacturing certifications, I think 
ISO9000, they have to have 2 OEM suppliers of each part, in case there is a 
problem with one manufacturing won't come to a standstill.)  The difference 
in the picture is just the picture is taken by a different person (or 
provided by the manufacturer.)  Specific information regarding the exact 
size or application notes can be found at the bottom of the page in red 
letters under the heading description.  If there were different 
applications for each part (say manual tranny or automatic,) each would 
have the application listed below the individual part.

For instance in the rear main seal page, they have the OEM rear main seal, 
an aftermarket silicone seal, and a aftermarket rubber seal in a VW 
box.  The one that is a different color is that way because the 
manufacturer just made it a different color.
