Hey Ben,

My '93 90S is long gone, but I still remember removing that piece. I installed an aftermarket CD changer and mounted the controller under there, so everytime the darn thing had an error I had to dig in there and hit the reset button.

Anyway, you are correct in assuming that those round plugs will have to come out to access the two remaining screws. 10mm hex head by the way. I used to use a pocket knife with a strong blade to pop them out, that way the tip of the blade would dig into the side of the plastic plug a little to "grip" the plug. You may make a small indent into the surrounding plastic/leather (never did figure out which it was) but that should fade after a couple hours.

If I remember correctly, there are only two catches on the plug, and they should be indicated by a slight indentation on the plug, stick a small screwdriver or knife in were one of the indentations are and pry outward, it should pop out. Perhaps yours have never been out, making them a little more difficult.

My circular plugs were a little beat up since I had to go in there so often (it was an older CD changer and would fault a lot in cold Minnesota weather), but how often do people really bend over and look underneath the dash.

Good luck and feel free to email me directly, I did a lot of work/repairs on my 90S and most of it is still fairly fresh in my memory.
